Can you even retell what wasn't told in the first place? I don't recall anything from volume 5 after Koneko's mini-arc being animated. Which is like... half to two-thirds of the book being left out, if I'm remembering the book correctly.
That being said, haven't watched the episode yet. Will hopefully get to it tonight.
