There's interesting remark from Tatsuya explaining the result of what Miyuki did in previous volume

Maya asked Tatsuya what happened with his "oath", Tatsuya said "Kaijou" (解呪) instead of "Kaijo" (解除).
Maya asked whether she heard it wrong but Tatsuya confirm it's 解呪, the meaning is released (same for both), but the 呪 means curse/magic, so kaijo means Tatsuya released himself from the shackle, while Kaijou means Tatsuya released himself from the curse
