Judging by the smile and mask, I have the feeling that Fate is going to go crazy soon.
He could be growing incredibly fast. But then it would leave him with a bigger hunger, leading him to him another big targets. Rinse and repeat. Thus, Fate would be forever locked into that vicious cycle of sating his hunger only for his newfound strength to exacerbate said hunger.
