Your argument is literally meaningless. NUNS could have literally committed genocide on Windermere and it would STILL not be enough to justify mind controlling the whole galaxy.
Hell, NUNS could have tried to blow up their home planet, but THAT still wouldn't justify a galactic mind control weapon.
Your mistake is thinking there is ANY justification for starting a galactic conquest. That somehow if you make NUNS look bad, it makes it okay.
It doesn't work like that.
