needs Kawamori to succeed
at all; be it he'll do design, story, or characters, he is
essential for Macross. Without him, Macross will not succeed. This franchise (regardless if he really recognizes it himself) is his
pride and joy. A Macross without Kawamori is not really a
Macross.
