Michael had been the main protagonist in Frontier because he's more fun to watch than Alto.
That said, I like how Delta doesn't give us an ace main protagonist like Plus, or a brooding one like Frontier, or a two-timing one like SDF-1. I'm overall happy with Hayate Immelmann, even if others don't really care for him as much. I believe he's a good character for this series' theme.
Plus,
Freyja is the main protagonist in reality because Delta revolves around her / her choices. And even if others disagree, I like her more than Sheryl. In fact, I
enjoyed every scene with Freyja and I'll miss her like I occasionally miss Ranka.
