Sure. But it's not necessary to tear down the original Love Live in order to support Sunshine.
As a big Star Trek fan, I really like the original series, TNG, and DS9. I may make some comparisons between the three, and I may have some preferences between them, but I like and support all 3.

I like this call-back. One of the nice things about Sunshine is that it's helping to further flesh out Love Live-verse.
