-The fight is a tad too dragged... that's because the pacing was a bit all over the place with way too many dialogues forcefully inserted in there.
The directing was also very confusing, with lots of transitions to different characters to the point it was difficult to keep track of who is attacking and what's left with the enemy

In this regard I was quite amused by the Kitakami / Ōi scene. Talking half a while when they are surrounded by Abyssals. Looked fairly surreal.
