Another thing to remember: the setting of Mahouka is post-WW3. It is highly possible that the geopolitics of the world is different from what we currently knows. So, I don't quite understand why people pointed out that the novel has the right-wing flavor to it; this feels a bit like prejudging the Japan in the Mahouka universe with incomplete information.
