It seems that really is how overkill is calculated.
(Also I really recommend that you get Shizuku or Juumonji so that you can use a good Shizuku supporter and speed up your 3-4 farming.)

I have tried pretty much all character combis; my character levels are more or less on par between 10 to 14. Problem is, Shizuku and Juumonji use AOE attacks which will mess up my chaining and overkills.
Most important qualities in my farming strat is speed and damage, with a balanced type if possible. I can make do with only Blues and Reds though.

As far as I know, card speeds. I may need to go read the help pages again to see whether I missed anything.
