Here's some food for thought: If enough players took the different non-combat roleplaying and profession subclasses, they would theoretically be able to
build a player town and kickstart a player-run economy. 
Vampires are a confirmed subclass though, so I'd rather not subvert.
Your other idea has merit. Considering that my fic focuses on a player being a shop owner catering to NPCs and players in player town, she needs to hire other players to raid dungeons for her. Adding those Maoyuu dungeons would be a sweet idea!!
