Its a new anime but not a newly announced anime, thats what I meant.
The anime that got announced was called
.hack//GU then they just changed the title of the anime to
hack//Roots.
As to what games they are based on, I have no idea (I just know that the title is based on a game). what I know is that the title/name of the anime (based on some game) that was going to get broadcasted has been changed.
