Denting its course is redirecting to a certain degree at least and keep in mind Misaka hasn't slept or eaten for days before she fought Mugino so she wasn't at her top form.
Also I doubt Meltdowner actually travels at the speed of light since Misaka still could dodge them. Although she could sense Meltdowner coming, if it was moving at the speed of light then even if she did sensed it coming it would have reached her already especially since she dodged them at point blank range.
