Until I see an official announcement I'm not getting my hopes up.
What amazes me is that the rumors (mainly the ones in 2ch) even say that the title of the supposed 3rd season is going to be Darker than Black: Nanbou no Houkou and it seems that this title suggests that it will happen in South America.

Anyway, if we do get new season I hope Misaki doesn't appear at all (she got on my nerves in S2 with her Hei obsession) and that we have a proper ending so Hei can have a rest, with Yin by his side
