@charizardpal: I don't have the willpower to provide a torrent or playlist of all the songs (If somebody would I'd be more than happy to help him/her) but I could post a link beside each songs in the updates. I'll try to do it before next week's additions. Thanks for the suggestion to make this thread better!
@Tsuyoshi, SeijiSensei and the always dependable christinemarie: Thanks for your recommendations, any song cleared will be posted in the next page!
now on to this week's chart news and HoF inclusions...
Spoiler for chart news:
Chart News: Here are this week's top 30 anison entries (in the overall Oricon chart the top 10 are all new singles, led by the new AKB48 single selling 50K short of a million copies. As to the new anison entries, all are particularly good songs):
#27(↓20) "Pride" by SCANDAL (STAR DRIVER Kagayaki no Takuto ED 2), 3,721 copies sold. "Big, big drop."
#18 (↓1) "Connect" by ClariS (Puella Magi Madoka Magica OP), 7,081 copies sold.
"Woah! This anison holdover from the previous two weeks is down just one spot (even with 12 new singles selling more) and selling just about 500 copies less than last week, ClariS' second single mightily impresses just like "irony" ...speaking of "irony" below is the new OP sequence for Oreimo's "TRUE ROUTE" episode as an added extra."
#14 "See visionS" by Mami Kawada (Toaru Majutsu no Index II OP2), 9,313 copies sold.
"Although "No buts!" sounds better (and sold better in its 1st week), this song is still as enjoyable and upbeat as the 1st OP. Another solid effort by Mami Kawada."
#10 "SUPER∞STREAM" by Yoko Hikasa (Houki Shinonono), Yukana (Cecilia Alcott), Asami Shimoda (Rinin Fan), Kana Hanazawa (Charlotte Dunois) & Marina Inoue (Laura Bodewig) (Infinite Stratos ED), 10,755 copies sold.
"This is a pretty good song. I like how Yoko Hikasa (the voice of K-ON!'s Mio) has come into her own as a singer/performer."
#9 "Mata ne... no Kisetsu" by Inazuma All-Stars [Junko Takeuchi (Endo Mamoru),Yuka Nishigaki (Kazemaru Ichirota), Hiroyuki Yoshino (Kido Yuuto), Hirofumi Nojima (Gouenji Shuuya) and mamoru Miyano (Fubuki Shiro)] (Inazuma Eleven ED7), 12,337 copies sold.
"Sung by the main seiyuus of Inazuma 11 and possibly its last ending theme, the song is a fitting farewell to the series' colorful cast of characters. A
feel-good ditty that talks of goodbyes between friends but with the knowledge that someday they'll meet again."
#7 "Magia" by Kalafina (Puella Magi Madoka Magica ED),22,335 copies sold.
"Excellent song, dark, brooding and intense but in a very good way. Hands down, Puella Magi Madoka Magica have the best theme songs of any anime this season."
#3 "Blue Bird" by Kobukuro (Bakuman. OP), 58,928 copies sold.
"This song has been in our ears for about 20 weeks already but it still sounds fresh and engaging. Not to be confused with the Naruto OP (or the Nissan car -- I don't know why Japan's fixiated with this bird), this is the love song to accompany the adventures of our unique couples in the anime."
Here are my inductions into the Hall of Fame for Week 103 again all from the last decade, (The Week ending on February 23, 2011):
