Got to say...
I'm feeling there's more to do after I finished the story modes, the lack of an Arcade mode makes the gameplay kind of boring IMO (I don't want to have to be playing the game's Versus mode everytime I feel like cracking some AI's bones, and Story mode is too long for me to read through), but the gameplay's nice so far.
I do have to comment on how easy, and also in comparison, how difficult; in using some certain characters against the others.
Spoiler for Them characters!:
Touma is good whenever you can get within range and hopefully punch forward whenever an an enemy throws an esper/magic attack, because Touma's attacks will cancel it. Thankfully he's among the easiest to combo though. Of course, my main weakness would be Kanzaki.
Kanzaki is, while her Nanasen is very useful to harass/interrupt, unfortunately there's a fraction of a second where it lags a bit before it hits the enemy, and I missed quite a lot. But then that was before I understood the game's mechanic's better...
Mikoto and Accelerator... how do I say, while Accelerator's attack have considerable strength, speed and priority, Mikoto is... her combos are quite cheap... I mean, as in very,
very easy. Not that it helps me from not feeling good when I do finish her off with Touma... (poor Mikoto, she gets DRAGON PUNCHED XD). I'm saying stuff about them because I find them a bit... overpowered. No, to say it better Mikoto feels a bit "overpowered" because combo-ing her moves is so easy I feel like I'm not even trying... that and because her Overdrive hits the enemy faster than Accelerator's which slowly descends from the air to the ground (although it's a good thing Accelerator's Overdrive can't be interrupted, but you'll have to bait your enemy to get in its way).
Misaka Sisters makes the best support units IMO, as I can call them in to knock the enemy down whenever I get knocked down too, and has very good range
... I haven't dwelled much into the rest of the characters yet, so I can't say much about them.
I guess I might be playing a bit more to find out some things...
Oh, Kanzaki teaming up with Itsuwa is a
pretty pair.
