EDIT: The show is mainly targeted at mecha fans, especially Sunrise mecha and has lots of puns and parodies of their own series. Its a wild entertaining ride of a whole lot of wacky stuff. targetting mecha fans yes, but with mostly references. in fact only 2 episodes had some good mecha action. otherwise it's way more of a fanservice and comedy show than a real mecha show.
