For instance, the reference by espada 7 (who coincidentally happens to be black) referring to the discrimination against hollows. Or Szayel's disturbing power to impregnate his victims. Or the BDSM privaron. Should we have a separate thread to discuss what these references mean in the context of current culture? I certainly have a few rants about the stereotyping Kubo resorts to sometimes.
