Either way, a person who wasn't familiar with it probably would be thinking the same thing... I really though Rika, of all of the deaths, should've been more... significant. They didn't need to show any gore if that was the problem, just at least some sign of shock from pain in Rika's eyes, like a very blurry image, make Takano howling with laughter and then finally passing out from the shock and dying.

actually from looking at the screen caps and reading the summary, it makes sense that Rika isn't showing the shock of pain

afterall even thou this hinamizawa is done it was greatly different from all the rest. She learned who the culpret is but most importantlly she learned Fate can be broken and to trust in her friends. And unlike past deaths her friends are with her in spirit to ease her pain thus she can grit and bare the pain knowing next time things will be different and that she might even be able to break this cycle. Heck it wouldn't even have shocked me if during the well err her death she said something alone the lines of "you may have won this round Takano but the war isn't over. In my death will be your undoing" and then passes out or dies

Ah well still need to wait for sub to download so I can watch it myself^^
