Seiyuu Radio no Uraomote is getting an anime adaptation

Plot Synopsis

Quote:

Yuuhi Yuugure and Yasumi Utatane, two high school voice actresses who just happened to attend the same school and coincidentally got placed into the same class, are the two hosts of a radio weekly program. As fellow classmates and voice actresses, they show all the listeners their great friendship! At least, on the surface. In reality, the quiet girl Chika and the gyaru Yumiko are complete opposites. And they absolutely cannot stand each other. Off air, chaos and insults erupt. On air, they're the best of friends. Just where will this tumultuous relationship lead them?

I thought the girls' voices didn't fit their character design, but that's because they're just acting on the radio show :heh:.

First episode was promising enough, reminds me a bit of Watayuri though this seems more focused on the plainy X gyaru ship... though I doubt we'll get to actual yuri in 12 episodes. Still plan to stick with this though.

That seiyuu otaku not even recognizing his oshi is hard to buy, no matter how much more plain and gloomy she looks in real life. The gyaru is not that well known so it's believable, plus her appearance does change a lot.

Anyway, was fun enough. I feel like Miku Ito is in every yuri show I watch, not that I'm complaining, but it feels like she's getting typecasted. This is pretty much Adachi and Shimamura: seiyuu edition :heh:
