https://twitter.com/5Hanayome_anime/...29720631619584 5-toubun no Hanayome is getting a third season. Announced today after the season finale. |
Fuck them.
They rushed the last decent part of the source material, then decided to greenlit Season 3 with Season 1's pacing based on the remaining material, meaning the slogfest of a final arc will have 5-6 episodes. In case you hope for a different ending, now you can give up, including myself. I'm not gonna even remotely touch Season 3. |
The same staff that made season 2 at Bibury with Kaori as the director is guaranteed to come back. Based on the looks of it, it's confirmed to be a sequel but the format has yet to be announced.
|
I am perfectly fine with manga ending. Technically I am fine with any final besides Itsuki or harem.
|
This joke of a manga getting another butchered season.
|
So I'll have to refrain from spoiling the ending to my friends.

Oh, one more thing. They showed the BK scene and... How the fuck is it treated as an accident from the girl's part or what the fuck was she actually thinking? I still don't get it even after last chapter. |
Time to bring this story to its conclusion :uhoh:.
|
I didn't watch the second season, nor do I intend to ever watch it, but I'm wondering if they fixed one of the issues of the first season, which was that when a quint impersonated another, their VA didn't change making it obvious who they actually were to the audience even when we were supposed to be in the dark (like the Ichika/Itsuki swap during the ski trip).

Ayana Taketatsu and Miku Ito generally do the best job of imitating the other quints' voices. |
......................Seriously? *facepalm*

So many salty manga readers here :heh:
|
Hmm, it looks like the previously announced 'sequel' is going to be an anime film scheduled for 2022.

If they mean to conclude the story with a movie they'll have to cut a lot of content.
|
It's not impossible to adapt the crucial parts and conclude what's left, but cuts will be made and it's not like the movie will redeem the execution. The manga tried to tell everyone is a possible choice. If they continue with the flashback and POV of a certain girl, then good luck trying to suggest this to the audience. But without that it really feels like a dice roll.
Most likely they will start right from and adapt the festival arc, then cut to the ending, plus may or may not the flashback and POV. 1 hour 45 minutes at best. |
A movie? That's a bit of an odd choice, but I guess they can try to trim the fat and include just the essential parts.
|
This better be worth it: with an average of 11 months' wait time, movies are generally a bad idea.
|
So it's going the way Saekano went
