It seems Sakura no Uta's main themes will be derived from J.J Gibson's Ecological Approach to Visual Perception.

Does it have the same writer with Subarashiki Hibi?

I can't wait for herkz to release Subahibi's trans. Always wanted to see how a denpa game would be like when translated to english.

Yes it does. The writer's name is Sca Ji. He also did H2O

Definitely looking forward to Subarashiki Hibi when its finally out. Hope it lives up to the hype.

Subarashiki Hibi is awesome. I have faith with MakuraSoft. I like quite a few of their VNs.

Total writing time for Sakura no Uta: 2 years.

Suba Hibi took 10 months by comparison.

It had better be worth those two years cause the game's been delayed AGAIN. I hope it doesn't suffer a Duke Nukem Forever sort of fate.

It's just until Sept. At least it's not next year

Has anyone else played the Sakura no Uta trial and felt letdown? I personally thought it dragged too much and the protagonist irritated me. The music was also nothing special.

That opening scene to Subarashiki Hibi, with that beautiful CG of Yuki gazing up at the blue sky. Her interesting opening dialogue with Takuji. Yuki's instantly likeable personality, and all accompanied by that truly wonderous Yoru no Himawari. I knew instantly that I had touched on something remarkable and magical.

Perhaps I'm feeling disappointed because Sakura no Uta didn't open with a similarly magical moment. I can recognize some lurking trauma within that game's protagonist, but he's so irritatingly insulated and prideful that I disliked him almost instantly. I guess it'll get better down the road, but the trial was so long and frankly uninteresting that I'm not hopeful for the final product.

Nope...never played the trial.

Such things are usually too short to give a proper taste of the full thing anyway. The way Sakura no Uta is developing, it is going to be one of those things that can only be appreciated in full

They keep pushing it back. I'm hoping a lot of good stuff since they pushed it back 2nd time already.

Seems like it's because of Sca Ji's writing speed and not any major issues in production.

j/k. It's finally upon us. The demo didn't leave a good impression, but let's see how the full version is like. Unfortunately, if it's anything like SubaHibi then you'll need an english translation or great japanese fluency to truly appreciate it.

This though? If Sca Ji pulls all of Kenji Miyazawa's style of double meaning poetry in his script....then....long ride ahead with dictionary in hand lol
