Looks like Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi (Campfire Cooking in Another World with my Absurd Skill) is getting an anime adaptation

Isekai cooking at its finest :).

The manga/LN is boooooring. No heroines, no plot and bland MC, reminds me of My Isekai Life.
So many announcements this month but nothing that I'm interested except Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu. |
Yeah I can already see people complaining about our MC Mukouda. For a good reason I guess. But other than that, it's a relaxing series. Hoping we get some good animations for the food and the foodgasms.

No plot, no heroines, just a dude going around cooking food in another world? Sounds like a great pitch if done right.

This series is kind-of fun, starting off with subverting the Summoned Hero trope but that's not new nowadays. What is different is that the MC Mukouda-san is an arrant coward, always ready to run away from trouble and he's not interested in levelling-up or defeating the Demon Lord or anything like that, he just wants a quiet life (which he doesn't get). His second familiar, Sui-chan is the sweetest, cutest, most murderous, totally genocidal sidekick anyone could ever wish for. Sui is love.

Meh if we are getting another cooking isekai I would have preferred the one where the MC lives with nomadic elves who have no idea how to cook decent food.

That one has potential, but i don't think it would get adapted to Anime anytime soon, particularly because of its "other world ingredient" concept, which might not sit well with those people who love Japanese Food and don't like to see it changed (same for "Cooking with Wild Game"). |

My lord, i can't imagine how overstretched Mappa at this point, considering that they still have vinland saga and AoT in january

Lol, the goddess Ninlil is Uchida Maaya. Her brother Yuuma is voicing the protag Mukouda. Gonna be an interesting banter. And Fel sound like Ainz.
The art is pretty colorful and the food looks good. Kinda excited now for this. |

One is the enjoyment of watching fantasy otherworlders discovering and eating foreign foods not of their world - in this case modern-day Japanese food items (ex. Isekai Ryoridou). The other is the enjoyment of watching the MC getting creative/innovative in having to make do, how they use their existing Japanese food/recipe knowledge to turn native ingredients into Japanese cuisine (or something close to it) which the otherworlders can enjoy and even marvel over - you were able to make this delicious meal out of this unlikely ingredient. (Ex. Cooking with Wild Game , those cooking shows where contestants must use the Unlikely Special Ingredient). |
The Uchida siblings finally reunited in another anime :heh:.

First episode -- Salaryman Mukouda is accidentally Hero-summoned by sketchy royals and (wisely) decides to book it. He leverages his unique skill of Net Supermarket to buy supplies from our world to feed himself and his travelling companions but as they say, no good deed goes unpunished.
Okay, nothing great in terms of animation or design but worth following to see the fish-out-of-water response of a normal guy from our world being isekaied. It helps that he's somewhat genre-savvy and able to make at least some smart decisions in his search to live a quiet life well away from Demon Lords and wars. The other three teenagers who got Hero-summoned with him don't look like the sharpest hammers in the toolbox in contrast. The Fenrir monster is impressive and actually looks powerful and dangerous, quite an achievement. Hino Satoshi, the monster's VA reprises the voice of Ainz from Overlord for that role. |
