One Piece: New World - Egghead arc discussion (anime-only)

Since Funimation have licensed One Piece, AnimeSuki will not list torrents for it. In addition, the following posts are not allowed:

It's been a long journey, but the anime version of the Wano arc has finally concluded. What new adventures await Luffy and co. in the island of Egghead? Discuss away! ;)

Since a few episodes have aired, how is everyone enjoying the Egghead arc so far?

I like the visuals and the general story direction is ok.

But geeze. I think Gear 5 might have truly broken me. I'd take rewatching Luffy vs Lucci on Enies Lobby 1000 times before rewatching this fight even once. I just can't with Gear 5. Obviously this is what Oda wanted to do and it's way he wants Luffy to be now. But it's just too awkward watching this cartoon fighting people. This might be the first time a single transformation has derailed my interest in a series this badly :heh:. In that respect it's kind of amazing.

Honestly don't even really like Lucci's awakened form. Goes way too insane in his own right. But at least he's still somewhat interesting to watch.

Oh well. Guess we'll see how the escape from Egghead goes. Probably won't be easy. But maybe it will be since Gear 5 is ridiculous.
