It could be a movie.

I'd rather they just move on. Sure, it sucks that some of the more awesome books got extremely watered down if not basically torn up, but I'd really rather not spend the next 5 years on them fixing what they broke. Just acknowledge the screw-up and ensure fans that you've learned from it and won't screw up that badly again.

Or they could make the screw-up into bigger one by having Issei's power being change completely.

It says "New TV Anime Series", although there's no confirmation on whether it's a reboot or a continuation from BorN.

Cao Cao: Mamoru Miyano
Le Fay: Saori Hayami or Kana Hanazawa

Since this is s4 of series got wonder how much put in this season?!

Give how past 3 seasons yet on 4th oh yes keep it going & wait on funi dub make it good.

I think Tomokazu Sugita would fit better as Cao Cao while Mamoru Miyano will be great as Dilhauser Belial.

As for Le Fay, either Aoi Yuuki or Inori Minase.

Hold your horses, there's no relevant information yet. Hell, we don't know whether it'll be a continuation from HS DxD BorN or a reboot. Should the new series be a continuation from Season 3, it'll adapt Volumes 9 and 10... if you read the novels.

Also, try checking out the Highschool DxD EX novels as Funimation might not translate it, although there are a few fans out there who translated the 6-part novel. One last thing I rather watch the show with subs.

Let hope season 4 story follows the light novel how it should. I can personally see them adding in the Sona fight that was left out in season 3.

Well they have the Kyoto battles and the ratings game against Sairaorg which will take up most of the time. Their best bet is to make an OVA of Sona's RG

I am so happy by this news. I want LN 9&10 in all it's glory, it's my favorite books by a mile. I want the Sairaorg rating game animated it would be epic.

If you're going to assume they screw up regardless, then why would you want them to redo/retcon the previous season anyway? By your own logic, it'd just be worse.

I really don't see why anyone would expect a reboot, to be honest. Hope, I can see, but expecting?

Hi, everyone. I've already watched the first season of this show. Are the subsequent seasons good too? If so, do you recommend I keep going with the anime or read the original material?

The first two seasons are good adaptations, however the third season is partially anime original with cut content. You should read the light novel at least through volume 8 before watching the third.

Wait, do mean START reading the novel at vol.8, or read UP TO vol.8 before watching more anime?

Read up to it before going past season 2.
