LN and Manga Publishing

After reading the first SAO it was a great surprise to find out that he published his work online in the first place.
I understand this is how it goes in many cases.
Can you please share some boards/sites/forums that authors publish their work? (I'm looking for LNs mainly).

Actually, from what I know, LN published online first (outside of official publishing companies websites of course) is but a really small minority of LN titles.

Most of those are from syosetu which is known as a portal for aspiring authors to get their potential LNs published.
