As most groups will move to a new server now, please use this thread to announce your new channel and network.

EDIT: Please use this ONLY for announcements. There are other threads where you can discuss the current situation.

You First, .. Is Aniverse still working ? haven't been able to log back on in a few hours there. whats teh scoop there ?

Aniverse is down from DDoS just like MIRCX, most likely by the same person.

Rizon and EFnet are the top to choices, put simply, EFnet is big, stable, and has a history, but not nickserv/chanserv etc. Topic length is maxed at about 110 characters I believe, and nicks are a max of 9 characters. It's been this way for years, most likely won't change. Though the nick might have a small increase in length soon, according to an IRC-op on EFnet.

Rizon is small, but will be adding servers, the owner is encouraging anime groups to join it, it has nickserv/chanserv etc, and has a channel, #anime-help on irc.rizon.net that has been set up to help people moving to that network.

Rizon isn't too much smaller than EFNet.

Anime-Blitz is moving to Rizon... unless mIRC-X comes back up :D

We're also going to have a small backup chan on EFNet, but I doubt much will happen there. I'll just idle there since I'm on EFNet 24/7 anyway :P

Kaizoku Fansubs is on Rizor

Nyo Coalition, previously located at #nyo @ mircx.com, is planning on moving to ETG. The move hasn't been finalized, and as ETG's been under some attacks tonight, we might re-consider that decision as we wait for the registration to be progressed. If anything should occur, you will find us on rizon.net like all other groups. Thanks.

And... that's all I can say at the moment, not sure where Seichi's going but we seem to be setting up on EFNet.

#anime-classic is currently camping out on aniverse and ETG, and we still plan on starting regular releases on 5 March.

EDIT: Well, since aniverse has blown up, guess we're on ETG now...

I have updated our website and contacted the rest of the groups that link to us, Kaizoku-Fansubs is now at home on:

irc.rizon.net

We expect to be there for quite some time, assuming nothing melts down on the Rizon network.

Most everyone is on this list.

As for a "new home" for groups, you could try ZIRC since that's where #animesuki has gone to.

#nandayo is temporarily on Rizon, however this is not permanent and we are already making plans to relocate to a more permanent home.

Seichi's New Channel
 

Seichi will have it's main channel on EFnet and will keep a channel with a distro bot on Rizon. So feel free to join either network and grab your favorite Seichi release.

Anime-Realm is moving temporarily, maybe permanently, to irc.zirc.org .

Sorry, it took a while to straighten out all the issues. (We still have them.. nobody is opped in the channel.. I need to register it...)

In any case, Fans of Tenchi IRC is now on Rizon, so hop in and visit sometime.. and all that astuff.. I'll be trying to get the idlers booted so I can frickin' register the channel and stuff... It's sad... nobody in there is opped... nobody is talking... nobody is probably even awake.

Sad.

Correction. Annoying. Everyoen in the chan is away. idling. and not opped. and since that's hwo it is, I can't register the channel with Chanserv... seeing as everyone in the group just decided to move there on their own without telling me. Oh well. Whatever.
