Jesus H Christ, another Sukhoi (a Su-30 this time) on a training mission chose to go the blyat way and slammed into a residential building, in the Irkutsk region.

The jokes have achieved self-sentience and are writing themselves now. :uhoh:

Dynamic tag cannot be rendered. (PrintableThread)
EDIT: the crew of two appears to have died in the crash.

A BBC vid that showcases why European countries that were under USSR control/have Soviet influences are having their monuments taken out.

Russian influence on the internet is far more dangerous than soviet era statues, I’d say

They should crack down on their money laundering cells first

The extreme right and the extreme left end up being the same shit:

A group of 30 House liberals is urging President Biden to dramatically shift his strategy on the Ukraine war and pursue direct negotiations with Russia, the first time prominent members of his own party have pushed him to change his approach to Ukraine.

I won't argue about the use of diplomacy at this point (whatever what position we may have on this) but the fact than the US should have a part on any negotiations (beside asking the beligereants to negosiate) is ridiculous; the US is neither officially a beligereant nor neutral enough to be considered as a serious negociator.

Putin: The Chosen One:

"To be sure, Putin is a tsar by vocation, a KGB major by rank and, Moroz says, a "dark
trickster" by disposition. "He fits all of Russia’s paranormal stereotypes. Her diagnosis:
"Putin is attracted to the idea that supernatural forces anointed him as the Chosen One,"
Moroz says.

"Putin hates democracy because he doesn’t believe in human powers," she adds. “He
believes spirits have anointed him with sacred autocratic powers.""

Diplomacy is useless at this point. Putin won't back down, Ukraine can't.

What the extreme left and right are really saying is, "This is expensive, we don't want to pay for this anymore."

Putin has put himself all in with Ukraine, he literally can't afford to back down at this point or he's going to get overthrown. Ukraine can't give in because Putin won't accept anything less than Ukraine getting bent over the table and fucked.

Yu Ominae 2022-10-25 10:10

Can only go by OSINTers who keep an eye on Ukrainian guerrilla activity, but I've heard that an attack on Melitopol was made on a pro-Russian propaganda outlet. Was not specific.

U.N., Turkey, Ukraine press ahead with Black Sea grain deal despite Russian pullout

Wheat climbs more than 5% as Russia withdraws from Black Sea export agreement

mangamuscle 2022-10-31 10:44

Make your bets, is putin going to risk losing more of his ships in the black sea so he can harass merchant ships? I bet Ukraine can build more of those kamikaze boat drones, which no doubt cost a lot less than the missile that sunk the moskva, if anything they should add night sensors so they can strike at night. A small submarine version would be putin's worst nightmare, since they wont see it until it is too late and it would be too small for them to pick in the sonar.

Jaden 2022-11-02 04:59

As long as Turkey is escorting the ships, there's nothing Russia can do. Turkey has a much bigger Black Sea fleet than Russia.

As long as Erdogan can flex his strength, bask in praise, and rake in the dough, he's not interested in being Russia's ally.

Turkish trade with Russia has increased dramatically since the war. They have leverage over each other

Erdo is in the Grey zone and he knows. Its his biggest chance to weaken Russia all while appearing himself as a more possible and reliable partner post-war to Russia than EU and China.

The Sich Battalion reported as of November 2 that Zeng Sheng-guang from Taiwan was KIA fighting pro-Russian forces in the east.

https://focustaiwan.tw/politics/202211040023

He’s also the first Taiwanese person to be KIA.

mangamuscle 2022-11-06 23:38

Mhh, since no one is saying it, I will. The speed at which putin is burning reinforcements show how little he cares for his compatriots, they are not even cannon fodder, they are meat shields. If WWII decimated the russian population (a process that took years) at this rate in months he will have decimated the new generation (that will not generate offspring) and those that fled the country will not return to russia while it is an autocracy, which TBT, they only tasted democracy for the brief period before putin came to power.

BTW, I don't believe those rumors about Iran attacking Iraq and/or saudi arabia, that seems to me like a smoke screen since we all know that the ruling prince in arabia is supporting putin out of sheer self interest. Iran is even less prepared for a war than putin's russia ever was.

I have an idea of what Ukraine's war plan in the near term is, only time will tell, but this is going to get hotter nonetheless.

Also, those rumors about putin having Parkinson and/or pancreatic cancer, I then to believe there is some truth to them, that is the only logical explanation for putin starting a war beyond the scope of his resources and continuing like if there is no tomorrow. If he truly is deluded and thinks he can win he will end like nicolae ceaușescu.

Key Board 2022-11-07 10:24

His plan is to wait for the US and Europe to elect more pro Russian leaders, and to bleed out Ukrainian infrastructure . It’s obvious

I don't think the Biden admin is pro Russia but it is worth noting that Biden was in the White House both times Russia has invaded Ukraine.

Perhaps instead of pro Russian leadership he was simply waiting for weak leadership.

Should have invaded when Trump was in office then. He would have let Putin get away with murder.
