All I really know is that the reputation is very good, and I haven’t read any comments too worried about the age thing (maybe it’s less in years than it appears to be?). I do know that figure skating - like ballroom dancing - is going to be very tricky to convey with a TV animation budget.

Apothecary is 24 eps, and I haven’t heard anything about it being a split cour. I will say that the batch of new series announcements over the past two months has been pretty awful, but there certainly is some good already announced stuff coming up in 2024.

Pretty good. I really liked the Apothecary diaries' first three episodes.

I was kinda impressed that the Ravens held the Lions to almost nothing. Eagles D looks vastly improved even with a banged up secondary. Allen seems to be hitting his limit in Buffalo. I have no idea what's going on in the ALCS right now but it is going to game 7.

I'm so sick of hearing about the 1972 fins but that was a painful game to watch regardless. As far as injuries Lane Johnson has some kind of ankle issue, hopefully just a high ankle sprain or something but we'll see.

I'm not the biggest baseball fan but I am a hometown team fan so I'll see how the Phillies do. Not sure what to make of the Diamondbacks...

KimiZero? I checked the first dozen chapters of the manga and it was some of the worst garbage I've ever read. I'm surprised you're enjoying it, but I guess it wasn't so bad at the beginning.

It's going well. Lots of shows to like, and there is Frieren that is an absolute gem. It's the kind of show I love.

Its pretty much always rewarding to watch the Cowboys lose. Lions, Niners, and Eagles probably the top of the NFC right now. I was hopeful the Vikings could upset KC but no such luck. Their season is still in the toilet for now.

Kinda surprised you took to KimiZero, I have had the opposite experience. I haven't picked up any romcoms this season, and barely any isekai either. Its kind of a weird season, nearly everything I turn on is an edgy power fantasy. I'll see if it improves.

Re: Right Stuf, late reply, but it still isn't exactly clear to me what they're doing. I would have generally assumed that Right Stuf is taking over operations but using the Crunchyroll brand (this would seem to be the reason to buy Right Stuf to begin with), and this generally seems to fit with the comment that all of Right Stuf's products are being moved over and keeping the same pricing policies. But yeah, the rest of the FAQ still refers to current-Crunchyroll policies re: shipping and not selling Home Video internationally, which seems like their old store management. So is it going to be more like Right Stuff when this is over, or is it going to be more like the old Crunchyroll Store just with Rightstuf's warehouse merged in? Who knows! I guess we have a little under a week before we find out.

I assume the thing about not shipping internationally is mostly because Crunchyroll is Sony, and Sony wants to sell rights to distributors internationally. If they were "competing" with these distributors to sell/ship to customers, it'd undermine their licensing deals. But yeah, obviously not everything will get licensed either. It might create an opportunity for proxy services, like JP merchandise collectors sometimes rely on. There's also a chance that some other company will come along to fill the space, as other anime licensors won't necessarily want to sell through a competitor to begin with.

In any case, it's an eventuality probably everyone saw coming when the company was sold, and over time no matter what I would expect the old Right Stuf culture to die off (as part of this was driven by necessity as a small business). We'll see what the space looks like a few months from now, but yeah... in the short term it seems like this week might be the last chance for some people to pick up some sought-after items.

I'm still on the fence about Freiren... I know a bunch of people on Discord that really like the manga but I couldn't get that into it. I'll follow it a bit for the hype, anyway... at least the first cour. Most the series I'm really looking forward to start over the next few days.
