The manga of Unnamed Memories seemed okay from the short bit I read. I am well aware the adaptation is worthy of a top 10 worst adaptations ever list. And you're not the only person who said Jellyfish is a must this season. I cleared a bunch of stuff in Hades 2 and only have a short list left to do until a major content patch hits. Good thing because my hands were smarting from 2am cold after last night. Can be chill about the rest because it will take at least the rest of the year for the remaining major content to hit. So I am back on anime this month.
NBA Finals, definitely preferring the Mavericks. For the anti-Celtics but moreso for Luka Doncic shutting all the media up that doesn't give him any dues. Kyrie Irving's redemption arc is also intriguing. But moreso Cuban let the GM go for the support that made sense rather than a superteam. NHL, I want Florida out ASAP as a Leafs fan. As stated before, whoever wins the West is who I'm with. The Stars are an insanely deep team that just play hard and excel at the rush while the Oilers have two generational talents, a wild offense and an improved defense and they could end Canada's cup drought.
Welp, the double sweep in the NBA was only 1 game off from happening. Mavs-Celtics it is. Panthers are on series point while the Oilers levelled with the Stars.
Getting close to doing as much content as can be done in current patch of early access of Hades 2. Good thing because rain returned for the first time in 2 months and the temporarily warmer weather officially ends the moment June 1 starts. Saw a Japanese movie called Monster a couple of nights ago (same director as Shoplifters) and...I'm not ever going to forget that film...damn, that director is good...
And Goodell pretty much used Butker as an example of diversity. That somehow underwhelmed even the low bar I set in expectations. Hopefully someone stops the 3-peat...
Cleared Fear 32 in Hades 2 tonight. Thankfully a week of warmer weather during the day presently, so had the body state to get that done. I think once temperatures go down more in June, I'll be way more in the mood for anime once I feel I have to get under the covers the moment the sun has set.
Oilers win a double OT thriller at the Stars in Game 1. How on earth McDavid ended up with a parking lot of space right in front of goal seconds into second overtime is crazy. I think the Pacers blew their series by letting Game 1 slip away in OT. They seemed to be figured out by the Celtics in Game 2. Mavs-TWolves looks way closer. Get the feeling the Panthers are going to make quick work of the Rangers - almost no team is able to handle their constant 'there is no puck' mentality. For both codes, I hope whoever wins the West wins the Finals.
The cold weather is really hitting now at night. Days are still decent. Getting final catchups done this week and my birthday next weekend. After that, stopping any socialising until spring.
One of my long time sources of viewing and sanity, Ben 'Yahtzee' Crosshaw, finally got Starstruck Vagabond, his long term game project that came about after his Dev Diary series, came out on Steam just now. Instant buy for the good he's done for the online gaming community and for being a major part of the push that changed gaming classification in Australia in the early 2010s. Hopefully him and his colleagues leaving The Escapist to form Second Wind pans out long term because they're on fire with the content they make.
Hades 2 is still my main recreational focus. Just cleared a Fear 24 run. Need to figure out what vows I can suffer to clear a 32. Am reaching the point where I will be waiting for new content soon, so can work in Starstruck Vagabond sometime soon. Will get to some anime this weekend given I can only handle a certain amount of time at night now before I have to get under the covers.
First of the two Bad End Theater plushies I helped fund a release of arrived in the mail today, The Overlord. The Maiden should arrive in the next week. Quite impressed with the quality, they stand up to the anime-based ones pretty well.
And now we're at conference finals. Rangers-Panthers and Stars-Oilers. May whoever wins the West win the Cup. Mavs-TWolves and Celtics-Pacers. May a non-Celtics team win.
Some brutal schedules amongst the best teams. Kansas sure has an abnormal one but no sympathy.
Hades 2 is just it right now. Have no interest in other game at present. Good thing it and Balatro came out this year because GTA 6 will take the attention of the masses next year.

MSI was utterly epic. Gen G finally won an international event. They might be the first ever to pull off the MSI-Worlds duo at this rate.
I don't dwell upon it. I've learned to avoid unnecessary risk and understand the true nature of people. I don't need power fantasies - they distract from actually achieve anything in life and power corrupts all ultimately. Have enough friends, including female. Converse well enough with female colleagues. What I am weary of are seeing relatives, colleagues, clients - all ruined by long-term relationships, physically and financially. So between their experiences and mine...I see no need. Life is too short and the notion that a romantic relationship is mandatory for fulfillment is a fallacy. For some it will be beneficial. But for the majority, they will overall regret it. There are far more types of love/fulfillment than those involved in romantic relationships. I get enough out of life. If I can get another 40 years out of life at least, have bettered the life of my mother and friends, seen what I wanted to see and do what I wanted to do without hurting others, then it was worth it. So I guess we're both aromantic, if there needs to be a term for it. We just got there for somewhat different reasons and through different experiences.
And as for tensions within Australia at present - if you look up the name Brittany Higgins, it will explain a lot.
I did sympathise with Kallen fans, particularly FoxxFire - I miss that guy and the art he did. However, I personally feel that long term, Kallen would have been limited in life by being with Lelouch. Lelouch and C.C. are damaged souls and see the bigger picture. Kallen is still relatively intact and deserves a chance to experience the spectrum of life on her terms within her own relatively limited lifespan. Lelouch and C.C. would likely be around for quite a while. But I am not bothering with anything beyond Resurrection. It provided the closure needed. Anything that has happened since is gacha or pander to certain countries.
