The last thing I brought was a couple of LNs (1st volume of Sayaka spin-off of Bloom Into You and 3rd volume of I'm In Love with Villianess). Also reading a couple of mangas but neither of them is licensed in English so I have to deal with fantralation.

And no, I have not watched Arcane. Heard some good things about it but I barely have time to watch ongoing anime lately, so hard to find one for other series.

Spoiler for Arcane spoilers:

Caitlyn is definitely a great character too. Really strong sense of justice and duty, and she's very accepting of others. Her relationship with Vi was definitely one of the highlight of the second half, and I'm curious to see how it'll develop because there were some hints there might be romance.

On the men's side, I really liked what they did with Silco. The scene where he's sitting in front of Vander's statue after being told to hand Jinx over and he says he finally understands how his old friend felt was powerful. I do believe he was telling the truth and wouldn't have betrayed her. It was made crystal clear multiple times he cared about her a lot. That makes Jinx's story even more tragic. She ended up killing the one person who accepted the complete psycho she is. Vi would have wanted to change her and that would have never gone well.

Well, I've finished it. That was an even bigger cliffhanger than I was expecting, but I don't regret watching it one bit. Won't mind watching it a second time before season 2 comes out, and I rarely rewatch stuff.

This really sets a new standard for animated works. Both technically and artistically.

I watched episode 3 yesterday and was indeed blown away by it. The next two episode were really good too (as far as I went for now). The summary spoiled that the two sisters would end up on opposing sides, but I didn't think Powder would end up this way. Of course it makes sense given the trauma she underwent and who raised her afterward, but damn.

It became quickly apparently to me it was Bakemonogatari lite. Lite in the sense it had a lot less fanservice, the MC wasn't a complete pervert, and no gore. I prefer the Monogatari series personally.

I watched Midnight Mass after I finished Legion. Been meaning to watch it since it released since I liked the director's previous work (Hill House in particular). It's a bit verbose but that didn't bother me, the show was thought provoking and had a great message. One that rings very much true, given what's happening in some parts of the world.

And after that... I started Arcane! Only watched the first two episodes so can't say much about the plot except it does do a good job of introducing characters and the settings, but the animation and the soundtrack are stellar.

I've been hearing nothing but praises for Arcane, whether it be for its animation or its storytelling. Is it a problem that I know absolutely nothing about League of Legends? And does the first season offer a complete story or does it end on a cliffhanger?
