I got my joysticks to work with
Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries! Wooo!
... and now I'm going to wait until they release their last DLC (apparently Solaris VII wasn't the last one) and all the mods I'm using are updated. So, another six months or so until the next game.
Also, I really need to get used to the set-up, change up buttons a bit and so on, which is always a bit of a chore.
I managed to get it done through Joystick Gremlin, vJoy and Hidhide, which took most of a day to get working, then
didn't work and I finally manged to find a program which sets up a configuration file for MW5: Mercs automatically, which then did work. Ugh. Anyway, quite happy to finally have a workaround which functions. Looking forward to playing
Mechwarrior with double sticks.
Anyway, not that sure what I'll play now. I finished
Horizon Forbidden West late this week after 96 hours and now I'm actually feeling a hankering to play some more
World of Warcraft, since the new season starts next week, i.e. better equipment and easier access to loot as well. A new
Stellaris DLC comes out on May 07th, so that's around the corner as well. And the new
Thrones of Decay DLC for
Total War: Warhammer 3 comes out on April 30th, so another thing to do very soon. Meanwhile, still playing
Helldivers 2 practically daily, although more for the dailies and weeklies to grind medals. I still get some time in with my friends, though. Holding off on
Crusader Kings 3 until the next DLC comes out in fall, since I don't find the whole legends and epidemics thing worth another playthrough. Last time I played it, I had a wonderful run starting with Alfred the Great and founded the empire of Avalon, which had its own christian religion and in the end expanded from Britain to all of Scandinavia and Germany. Very satisfying run. And I only really started full incesting rather late into the game to keep the level 3 traits in the family.
I'm also holding off on another
Mass Effect 3 run, since I stilll am too nearby to the last time I played it and got out of a story-heavy game just now. Same goes for
Witcher 3, although there it is more that I want to play it at the best settings with good FPS, so I'm waiting until the RTX 5090 is out and I've gotten it. Ditto for
Cyberpunk 2077.
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is also missing a last DLC, so waiting for that to happen before I get to it again. I finished another run of
Middle Earth: Shadow of War a few weeks ago and could do some endgame stuff (assaulting forts to get better orcs for mine), but I don't really feel it. And finally I got
Anno 1800 staring at me, daring to try to get beyond the Engineer stage and I just know I won't be able to do it. Maybe if I get a global warehouse mod, because trade routes are really what make me want to not continue my attempts.
It's probably going to be
World of Warcraft, since that can be easily dropped if I want to do something else. Which, given that both
TW:WH3 and
Stellaris DLC's are coming up, will be quite soon.
