I watched a couple of interesting documentaries a few days ago. The first might've been seen by some members here already since it's old (1990) and fairly well-known, but this was the first time I'd seen it. Saintess and Tron should enjoy it. It stars a cute little six year old loli.
I'd never heard of places like those depicted towards the end of the video, centers to take care of children with Reactive Attachment Disorder, some of whom had already killed several people despite only being elementary schoolers.
The other documentary of note was 1983's Children of Darkness, which is an hour long (tl;dw, I know) and features a few different psychiatric facilities for severely mentally ill kids. The first location covered, though sad and dreary, is respectable and about as pleasant as such a place can reasonably be expected to be; but the second, Elan School, is extremely fucked up. Sometimes when a student misbehaved, they would put the kid in the center of a fighting ring and have the other students fight him or her one after the other in a sort of fighting tournament. I'm glad to hear the place was finally shut down in 2011 (the fighting ring element died out during the 1990s, but it was awful for a whole lot of reasons besides just that and it never became a particularly humane place).
