It's out on Random Curiosity. Looks like another very big season, so let's see what the damage is. Not feeling too well this evening, so I think I'll be a bit less verbose than usual.
Boukensha ni Naritai to Miyako ni Deteitta Musume ga S-Rank ni Natteta: I've been seeing trailers of this floating around for a while now and it looks pretty good. Some sort of slice of life fantasy stuff with what looks like a good amount of action as well. Three episodes, probably a pick-up.
Sousou no Frieren: Elf deals with the trauma of her non-elf friends aging. In Pathfinder, those elves are called the Forlorn. Seems like a decent idea, another three episodes.
Ragna Crimson: Action anime of heroes vs. dragons. Could be a little too edgelordy, but maybe it's actually good. Also three episodes.
Shangri-La Frontier: Another MMORPG anime. Doesn't look too promising, so one episode to convince me to stay.
Dekoboko Majo no Oyako Jijou: Eeeh, fantasy comedy from a 4-koma. Probably not my sitch, but one episode.
Kamonohashi Ron no Kindan Suiri: Mystery crime anime. Could be interesting, could be not. Another one episode to check it out.
SHY: Hum, superhero anime. Not a genre which I've found too riveting so far. Two episodes.
Watashi no Oshi wa Akuyaku Reijou: Another villainess anime. The last two were both rather disappointing (Raeliana was boring as all fuck, Lastame took itself too serious), but this seems to be the right amount of zany to carry my interest. Three episodes.
Toaru Ossan no VRMMO Katsudouk: And another MMORPG quasi-isekai. One episode, but this is getting tiresome at this point.
Seiken Gakuin no Makentsukai: Bleagh, another "demon lord reincarnated as a young boy". One episode.
Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou desu Season 2: Oh, hey, this show was pretty nice for the first season, so automatic pick-up.
Konyaku Haki sareta Reijou wo Hirotta Ore ga, Ikenai Koto wo Oshiekomu: Wait, what, the villain has to teach a nice young girl to be wicked as he is? Hum, yeah, that's a unique premise, to say the least. I guess it gets three episodes from that.
Boushoku no Berserk: Eeeeeeeeeeeh... the premise seems to be some sort of fantasy vampire stuff. The character concept art looks okay, but let's say I am not a big fan of the story, as put in the synopsis. One episode.
Under Ninja: Yeah, sure, the secret government agency of NINJAS. One episode.
Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari Season 3: Okay, totally honest here, ShieldBro S2 was pretty shit and rushed. Let's hope S3 will be better. Picked up.
UNDEAD UNLUCK: Not a big fan of some character designs, but the general dea seems be solid. Still, only one episode.
Hametsu no Oukoku: Hm, is this Witch Hunter Robin? Because the synopsis kinda makes it sound like it. Two episodes.
Hikikomari Kyuuketsuki no Monmon: Ah, yes, the shut-in vampire princess. The trailers looked pretty good, so three episodes to see if the show also holds up.
SPY x FAMILY Season 2: Picked up, of course.
Kikansha no Mahou wa Tokubetsu desu: Huh, sounds like a reincarnation battle anime. Two episodes.
Tearmoon Teikoku Monogatari: Dantoudai kara Hajimaru, Hime no Tensei Gyakuten Story: Oh, another villainess anime. Yeah, three episodes, hopefully it'll be one of the better ones. So far, nothing better than Aileen has turned up.
Dead Mount Death Play 2nd Cour: Ah, yes, the "twelve episodes of set-up" show, where presumably this season will be another twelve episodes of set-up. We'll see. Picked up, because the general concept is good, only there is no story pay-off yet.
And, there we go. That's 22 fricking shows to watch first to third episodes, with 4 of them being already automatic pick-ups. Oh, boy. I can already see that I'll need a schedule again for this season. Is this the new normal now?
