It's here!
Let's see what looks interesting this season, I dream of some mecha at least.
Ningen Fushin no Boukensha-tachi ga Sekai o Sukuu You Desu: Okay, another "thrown out of the adventuring party" story, only that this time the guy who was thrown out forms a new adventuring party with other outcasts, instead of retiring to do a menial job. Well, looks interesting enough, two episodes.
Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei: Uh, isekai'd person develops magitech and kidnaps the fiancée of the crown to yuri her. Okay. Unique premise, I'll give you that. Two episodes to see if the premise comes equipped with actually interesting characters and a decent plot.
Revenger: Hum. Pretty classical "ninja investigates murders" story in the samurai period, probably a lot of fighting and blood. Worth checking out at least one episode.
Spy Kyoushitsu: Oh, hey, young girls as spies. <sigh> I miss Princess Principal. Well, the promos looked interesting enough, so two episodes to check it out.
Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatte Iru Darouka: Familia Myth IV: Is this now season four or five of DanMachi? In any case, from what I've gathered this arc seems to be long-awaited by fans of the light novel. The last season already was tons better than the two before, so I am pretty hyped about it as well. Automatic pick-up.
Hyouken no Majutsushi ga Sekai o Suberu: Astoundingly, this is not an isekai. But it seems to be one of
those series. OP protagonist? Check. Magic academy? Check. Protagonist gets dismissed as being worthless, despite his OP hax powers? Checkedycheck. Harem? Of course! One episode.
Isekai Nonbiri Nouka: Fuck's sake, another farming isekai? What's next, salarymen isekai? "Our protagonist got transported into another world and now lives the life of his dreams, being a faceless salarymen at a giant corporation!". One episodes, just to check out the vibes, because some of those shows were surprisingly good, while most were just meeeeeeeeh.
Buddy Daddies: Oooof. Who's wanting to leech off the popularity of Spy X Family? These guys! One episode.
Ars no Kyojuu: Alright, this looks solid enough, with a standard premise of "Big monsters around, dude hunts monsters for the money, meets cute girl, gets involved in plot" thing. Two episodes.
Tsundere Akuyaku Reijou Liselotte to Jikkyou no Endou-kun to Kaisetsu no Kobayashi-san: Oh, hey, it's another villainess series.
I kinda got into the genre a few months back on the strengh of "I'm Taming the Final Villain" show and already read this one. It's pretty good. So, automatic pick-up for me.
Kaiko Sareta Ankoku Heishi (30-dai) no Slow na Second Life: Huh, another "expelled from the party" show, only this time it's from the demon lord's army and the guy is a bit older. Looks interesting, two episodes.
Saikyou Onmyouji no Isekai Tenseiki: And another isekai show where one dude gets isekai'd from one fantasy world to another! Well, that's a somewhat unique idea, at least. Two episodes.
Rougo ni Sonaete Isekai de 8-manmai no Kinka o Tamemasu: Well, ANOTHER isekai. This time, the girl protagonist doesn't get truck-kun'ed, but rather, uh, stumbles via clumsiness into the other world, but also can go back to the normal world. What does she decide to do with that? Well, amass a ton of money for her eventual retirement.
The premise is pretty fun, so two episodes.
Nokemono-tachi no Yoru: Oh, kind of a urban fantasy story in England? Sounds interesting, so two episodes.
Benriya Saitou-san, Isekai ni Iku: Another isekai. This time it's a handyman who gets transported to another world, where he helps out people by fixing their stuff. Again, a pretty unique premise, but not that exciting, so only one episode.
The Legend of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki – Northern War: We got our mecha show. Yay!
This one seems to take itself pretty seriously, three episodes to check it out, unless it is really bad. Which has happened before, I fear.
Kyokou Suiri Season 2: Oh, yeah. Our one eyed, one-legged female protagonist is back and so is her immortal boytoy. I liked the first season quite a lot, even if the plot was way too heavy on them planning stuff. Automatic pick-up.
High Card: Eh, not sure. Looks interesting, but it seems to lean towards the side of Bungou Stray Dogs and the like, where the protagonists are made out to be too cool for school... and I have always disliked those kind of personalities in protagonists. One episode.
Vinland Saga Season 2: Well, say what you will about season one, and I could say a lot positive and negative, Vinland Saga is a damn good series. So, yeah, automatic pick-up and I know the plot is going places one would not exactly expect.
Ayakashi Triangle: I'm sorry, is this a yuri ecchi show? Yeah, quite interested. ^^ Three episodes.
Eiyuu Ou, Bu o Kiwameru Tame Tenseisu: Soshite, Sekai Saikyou no Minarai Kishi: Oh, yeah. King reincarnates to become a female knight, because he likes fighting so much. That's kind of a very fun premise. And also the female protagonist looks fabulous.
Three episodes.
Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi: Yeah, sure, cooking master in another world. Ladeeda. One episode. ^^
Itai no wa Iya nano de Bougyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu. 2: Oh, hey, Maple is back. This was a very relaxed anime in season one, so I think I'll happily look it up for season two. Three episodes.
Ooyuki Umi no Kaina: Hum, survival fantasy story in a probably post-apocalyptic world. Two episodes to see what is going on.
NieR:Automata Ver1.1a: Well, then. Should be interesting to see if they can do a decent adaptation of this story. Three episodes.
That's a shit-ton of shows, 25 in all and three of them are automatic pick-ups. Could be that I'll be very, very busy the next three months.
Let's see which shows actually pan out to be good, though.
What are you guys interested in?
