Random Curiousities preview
is up. So, let's see what's what this fall. Summer was kinda disappointing and I dropped basically everything mid-through.
Star Wars: Visions : So, yeah, Star Wars anime. I'm looking forward to this a lot, since I hope some of the episodes of this anthology will be good enough to spawn their own series. Let's hope for the best, definitive pick-up!
Megaton-kyuu Musashi : Do my eyes deceive me? A MECHA series? Oh, my. Character designs are good enough, mech designs are a bit clunky, but not outlandish. This gets my full attention, three episodes to see if it manages to be bad, nonetheless.
Hanyou no Yashahime: Sengoku Otogizoushi, i.e. 86 S2 : I fucking hated this series for all the non-sensical stuff in it and the empty characters, except Saint Lena the Pure-Hearted and her boy toy, Manly Dude With A Tragic Backstory. I might hate-watch this by scrolling through the episodes.
Tesla Note : Sci-fi invoking everybodies favorite Serbian mad scientiest? Count me in to look at it extensively, three episodes.
Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu : I mean, of course. The first season was glorious, even if I got late on the train, so definitely picking this up.
Tsuki to Laika to Nosferatu : Uh, cute vampire girl wants to go to space. Yeah, sign me up, where's the dotted line. Three episodes to convince me this isn't good.
Kyoukai Senki : Wait,
another mecha series inthe same season? Oh, it's a Gundam spin-off something-something, consider me much less interested, then. However, still a hopeful for some mecha action, so three episodes.
Gensou Sangokushi: Tengen Reishinki : Uh, Three Kingdoms fantasy. No promo video. Two episodes to see if it has any appeal.
Takt Op. Destiny : Blablabla, alines have taken over Earth, blablabla, resistance fighters, blabla musical combat? Okay, sounds at least interesting as a concept, not gonna lie. Hopefully this has some Macross appeal. Three episodes.
Shin no Nakama ja Nai to Yuusha no Party o Oidasareta node, Henkyou de Slow Life Suru Koto ni Shimashita : Oh, come on, guys. Stop inventing ever longer anime titles, this is getting ridiculous. Anyway, another fantasy apothecary series. Maybe this one won't be total crap like the one from this season. One episode to convince me.
Sekai Saikou no Ansatsusha, Isekai Kizoku ni Tensei Suru : Assassin isekai, sure why the fuck not. Two episodes. Wait, it's from the guy who did the abominable shit rape anime? One episode, just to see how bad it will get.
Muv-Luv Alternative : So, I kinda never got into the Muv-Luv thing (the retardedly stupid name "Muv-Luv" might have been an issue, but I also somehow didn't like the style of storytelling... it's been a few years). Of course this a new mecha show in the timeline where mecha shows have become increasingly rare, so this gets three episodes to see how it turns out.
Saihate no Paladin : Fantasy, might be dark fantasy. Worth a look and apparently no isekai element. So, yeah, three episodes.
Gyakuten Sekai no Denchi Shoujo : A fourth mecha show, this time with anime otaku saving Japan from, uh, Japan. Not a single look at the mech designs, though, so count me as cautious regarding this one. Two episodes.
Deep Insanity: The Lost Child : Eh, the title alone makes me wary, but it says sci-fi on the can and not horror, so it gets a look. Two episodes.
Build Divide: Code Black : Card-game based anime always are an iffy thing, so I don't have much hope for this one. One episode.
Blade Runner: Black Lotus : Huh, looks surprisingly good. I'll have to see where this airs or if it gets outs via fan-subs. Two episodes.
So, yeah, that's a lot of shows. Two automatic pick-ups, then 15 potential ones. I just hope this doesn't up disappointing me as much as the summer season, but then again two series are surefire hits for me.
What seems interesting to you guys?
